Recently Rick built the US division of JMS Yachting USA, a yacht management company. Starting from the ground up Rick created brand recognition through direct engagement with the luxury yachting industry and through social media. Rick recruited a professional team to manage and support the yachts attracted into the JMS US-fleet. Westhoff offers consulting & production expertise throughout all phases of a project. Our primary focus is on interior woodwork design & fabrication for very high-end mega yachts and estate residences.

Project Baseline
A citizen scientist initiative. Supports and develops a world-wide database of ocean sites encouraging citizen-divers to record changes in the world’s underwater environments and to engage with scientific, conservation, and government entities to advance the restoration and protection of our natural and cultural treasures. Nova Southeastern University
Working with Dr. Paul Arena and his grad students Rick runs Surface Interval out of Port Everglades to deploy Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) that make video transects of the multiple mitigation sites. This helps document the marine growth and diverse habitats created by the mitigation sites.
International SeaKeepers Society
Rick has long supported the SeaKeepers by through sponsorship and by donating his time and assets for projects. Working with the directors of the organization, Rick has helped in refitting donated vessels, the NSU collaboration, and recently supporting Team SeaKeepers during the “Crossing for a Cure,” a paddling event aimed to raised funds for Piper’s Angels, a Cystic Fibrosis charity. Rick’s boat, Surface Interval, was awarded the distinction of a SeaKeepers’ “Discovery Vessel” in 2021. Support SeaKeepers.
Global Underwater Explorers
Global Underwater Explorers: GUE is the only non-profit diving training agency in the world, wth arguably the highest standards for diving training. Rick is a GUE-trained diver, and uses his boat Surface Interval to support GUE instructors in the south Florida area. Learn More.
